Geetika Sharma, Madhumita Shukla, Fiza Mohammad and Bhanwari Devi aren't isolated cases of exploitation by morally corrupt politicians. They are an unfortunate tale of our society where family bondings have been replaced by a wanton lust for power and money.
The horrible combination of power, sex and money has prominently emerged as a new taste in Indian politics during last few decades. The fatal love stories of the ladies who lost their lives after having affairs with influential politicians suggest that they eventually fell prey to their own high ambitions.Due to materialistic way of life, lesser control of family bondings, short cut methods of earning money, lengthy and unfavorable condition/ surroundings and broken families are some important factors, which lure these women towards these corrupt politicians. Recently we have seen tragic deaths of young and pretty girls like Geetika Sharma, Madhumita Shukla, Kavita, Naina, Fiza, Bhanwari Devi and many such other women.
Ankita, who could be a major clue in the Geetika Sharma suicide case has although agreed to co-operate with the police in cracking the case, but she herself is reportedly involved in a relationship with Gopal Kanda. So how much she will be able to disclose the relevant facts can be anybody's guess.
“As people say that Gopal Kanda is a playboy who loves to be surrounded by beautiful and young ladies,” said Bollywood star Nupur Mehta, who has worked as the vice-president at Kanda's MDLR Airlines. As these ambitious girls have great lust for money so they easily become prey of these politicians. Senior congress leader N.D.Tiwari who has been declared as father of 32-years-old Rohit Shekhar was denying of having any relationship with the lady who is mother to his son. Even we have heard many love stories of great leaders who were very influential during freedom struggle.
One can't say who is more responsible for these incidents. The politicians and young girls both have some charm in money and sex. When the limits of sex have been crossed then the girls realized that they have been used by these politicians. At this stage when they raised their voice against exploitation they simply have been removed from the life of these politicians. Sometimes all this happened with knowledge and consent of family also. It is very tragic how these innocent girls are misguided by society’s prevailing system. Nowadays children do not like to be interfered by family’s ways of life. The Internet and TV channels are making them more mature than they should be in their teen-aged life. Instead of taking any guidance from family they prefer to take advice from friends who are already trapped in such cursed lives.
The process of social control and socialization starts from childhood. If it misses at any stage, the consequences will be same as it happened in Geetika’s case.
