Horrible combination of power, politics and prosperity

Geetika Sharma, Madhumita Shukla, Fiza Mohammad and Bhanwari Devi aren't isolated cases of exploitation by morally corrupt politicians. They are an unfortunate tale of our society where family bondings have been replaced by a wanton lust for power and money.
The horrible combination of power, sex and money has prominently emerged as a new taste in Indian politics during last few decades. The fatal love stories of the ladies who lost their lives after having affairs with influential politicians suggest that they eventually fell prey to their own high ambitions.
Due to materialistic way of life, lesser control of family bondings, short cut methods of earning money, lengthy and unfavorable condition/ surroundings and broken families are some important factors, which lure these women towards these corrupt politicians. Recently we have seen tragic deaths of young and pretty girls like Geetika Sharma, Madhumita Shukla, Kavita, Naina, Fiza, Bhanwari Devi and many such other women.
Ankita, who could be a major clue in the Geetika Sharma suicide case has although agreed to co-operate with the police in cracking the case, but she herself is reportedly involved in a relationship with Gopal Kanda. So how much she will be able to disclose the relevant facts can be anybody's guess.
“As people say that Gopal Kanda is a playboy who loves to be surrounded by beautiful and  young ladies,” said Bollywood star Nupur Mehta, who has worked as the vice-president at Kanda's MDLR Airlines. As these ambitious girls have great lust for money so they easily become prey of these politicians. Senior congress leader N.D.Tiwari who has been declared as father of 32-years-old Rohit Shekhar was denying of having any relationship with the lady who is mother to his son. Even we have heard many love stories of great leaders who were very influential during freedom struggle.
One can't say who is more responsible for these incidents. The politicians and young girls both have some charm in money and sex. When the limits of sex have been crossed then the girls realized that they have been used by these politicians. At this stage when they raised their voice against exploitation they simply have been removed from the life of these politicians. Sometimes all this happened with knowledge and consent of family also. It is very tragic how these innocent girls are misguided by society’s prevailing system. Nowadays children do not like to be interfered by family’s ways of life. The Internet and TV channels are making them more mature than they should be in their teen-aged life. Instead of taking any guidance from family they prefer to take advice from friends who are already trapped in such cursed lives.
The process of social control and socialization starts from childhood. If it misses at any stage, the consequences will be same as it happened in Geetika’s case.

Money is the curse that leads to corruption

Every one of us knows that the money accumulated does not go along with us at the time of death but still we run after it right from morning till we sleep. Once a Child is educated under the Corrupted atmosphere he or she is bound to adopt Corruption in the life.
In today's world every one of us is running after money and power. Indeed, we do require money to meet our day to day needs, and comforts, etc., but let there be a limit.
Excess to everything is bad, is a known and universal fact. All of us know that money made by us and earned does not go along with us at the time of death. But we still run after it right from morning till we sleep.
I will not be mistaken in case I comment that the money is the root cause of everything; it creates tension, blood pressure, unpleasantness and unhappiness even in the family .
But unfortunately in spite of above all still the people are after money. They want to attain richness by hook or crook at any cost - in order to gain status in the society they live in.
At times even the parents are willing to shell out an ample amount to seek admission for their wards in the select institutions with the subjects of their choice, and even to get them jobs.
Once a child is educated under the corrupted atmosphere he or she is bound to adopt corruption in life. Panchayat, Councillor, MLA, MP Election, etc., are living examples when candidates spend lavishly to get votes, and later, on winning, they will like to recover the money spent in the shortest time possible, and thus they will involve themselves in any possible malpractices, wrong doings and acts. Please do correct me in case I am wrong any where.
Power at any stage or in any shape is not less than money greed since it’s ultimately converted into money only. Can’t we be honest in our dealings and live peacefully and gracefully without involving corruption?

Minority in a majority and the dark side of Independent India

The Independence day celebrations turned pale with the northeasterners receiving threat messages from a 'miscreant'. A situation of panic arose with 8,000 thousand people leaving Bengaluru. The people are in a state of deep stress fearing attacks.
WHAT AN irony! At a time when we have just celebrated Independence Day, every person from the North East staying outside the North East is living in fear and insecurity, because mobs of “miscreants” are allegedly moving around in a systematic fashion, attacking people from the North East.
There is an ethnic violence in Assam between the Bodos and Bangladeshi immigrants. However unfortunate that incident may be, both sides have suffered a lot. Of course, there are arguments and counter-arguments about how some of the Muslims are not illegal Bangladeshi immigrants, while others claim that the Assamese Muslims are also against the Bangladeshi immigrants.
Who is to be blamed? Should the Indian media be blamed for bringing in communal colors to the conflict?
More than 8,000 northeasterners, some reports suggest that the exodux numbers are even more, residing in Bengaluru are leaving the city following rumors of they being attacked, spread like wild fire.
Despite the Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh and the Home Minister, Sushil Kumar Shinde assuring the people that these are mere rumours, the northeasterners seem not to trust anyone at this point of time.

And Divided they FALL!

The smirk on the faces of ruling party politicians would have been turned into despair, if Team Anna and yoga guru Baba Ramdev had joined hands and started a joint movement against corruption and black money.
Much to their dismay, the anti-corruption movements, led by both Team Anna and Baba Ramdev have received minimum attention by the Congress-led UPA government. These agitations, which initially did generate lot of hopes have fallen by the wayside.
There is a big smirk on the faces of most congress politicians, with some even taunting these two agitationists that they knew, all along had political ambitions. The point is if having political ambition is so bad and that politics is so murky then what are these shining white dhoti kurta clad Netas of UPA doing there? Especially, when they sermonize that they while sitting at the high altar of Parliament are working for the betterment of people of India.
Last year, both these movements got rousing support from the people, because they saw in these movements issues which are affecting the majority of the people of all caste, creed and religion. Nobody can deny the fact that 1.78 crore bureaucracy of India from top to bottom is corrupt. Nothing changes without the Aam Admi paying under the tables. As for Indian politicians with going rate of 10 crore for election to the post of MP and 5 crore for state legislature, less said the better. In this totally murky scenario with World renowned agency, Transparency International rating India as one of the most corrupt countries and its police getting Olympic Silver medal of being the second most corrupt in the World, in these two agitations people saw silver lining in otherwise a very dark sky.
Had Baba Ramdev campaign against stashing of black money abroad by Indians estimated to be 1796 billion dollars –highest in the world, and Anna Hazare demanding strong Jan Lokpal Bill to check rampant corruption, joined hands from the beginning and formed a coordinating committee to channelise their agitations, instead of smirk there would have been dark clouds of consternation on the faces of Indian politicians today and maybe we would have seen action on the ground.
Unfortunately both these movements became mutually competitive with each trying to gain limelight. For any agitation to succeed basic Mantra is transparency in the actions and need to implement what you say. Unfortunately both these movements have suffered from lack of specific goals, objectives and key result areas. As a result, people have got an impression that they are directionless, thus losing their belief. This also enabled the politicians in power to plant stories and follow the policy of divide and rule.
Even now it not too late. Let Anna and Ramdev come together, thrash out their differences behind closed doors, appoint an all powerful coordinating committee and issue a joint white paper, listing out what is the minimum they will settle with the government in power. After this, there should be no moving of goal posts. They should work out number of strategies and have them handy. Do not give an impression of groping in the dark. Instead of everybody grabbing the mike and becoming motor mouth, appoint spokespersons who would daily give out statements to press. Debate the issues at all India level. With Anna’s urban following and Ramdev's grip on rural India, this joint movement will then become unbeatable.
